Inspirations
iTunes 9, Winamp 5, Foobar2000, Cog, Audirvana, Swinsian, Vox. We took notes from all of them. Mostly the good ones.
The name
Bòcan is Scottish Gaelic for a sprite or a hobgoblin — a small spirit said to live in the hearth. It seemed appropriate for something that lives quietly in your menu bar and plays you music.
